  • Yes - but small and weak and sometimes almost impossible to see

  • Multiple queens per colony
Nests
  • Indoors, nests can be found in wall voids, cabinets, woodwork and decaying masonry & woodwork
  • Outside nests can be found in soild under rocks, logs and debris in general
  • Also outside nests can be found in landscape mulch and lawns where nests are typified by small craters of very fine soil
  • Outdoor nests are also regularly against building foundations
Propagation
  • Winged ants swarm and start new colonies from June to August
Foraging
  • Outdoor trails can be found along walls and sidewalks
  • Indoor trails can be found making a beeline for any food source
How to Kill
  • Use Maxforce FC Ant Killer Bait Gel
  • Track down and bait every trail you can find
  • Unless infestation is heavy, avoid approaching nests as Little Black Ants are exceptionally prone to relocating the nest when it's disturbed
