- Reddish yellow to reddish brown
- Locations

- Nest in soil along foundation edges and under houses
- Typically found under rocks, trash cans, lumber and almost anything lying on the ground
- Propagation
- Winged ants swarm and start new colonies in mid-to-late Summer
- Foraging
- Unlikely to find foraging trails inside buildings as yellow ants feed near-exclusively on Honeydew.
- Odor
- When you crush the ant it produces an odor similar to that of lemon or citronella
- How to Kill
- These ants are not usually found by the average homeowner as they pretty much stay underground and out of site
- We recommend calling-in a professional pest control service as baiting is unlikely to work due to the diet requirements of Citronella Ants
- If you've tried that and failed your best results will come from mixing 1 gallon of Demon WP in a bucket for every 1 foot of nest diameter and literally pouring the solution on the nest - DO NOT SPRAY THE DEMON WP, YOU HAVE TO POUR IT
