- Propagation
- Queens leave the main colony and setup a new colony with an army of workers
- Foraging
- Their foraging trails can be hard to find inside
- Electric wires in wall voids and under the edges of carpetting are a favorite trail hiding place
- Outside they will trail along the edges of walls, roof-lines and foundations to gain entry to a building
- Outside trails can also regularly be found on tree limbs that touch buildings
- Their elevated water requirements mean you can regularly find them in kitchens and bathrooms
- Benefits
- Worker ants will feed on fly eggs and larvae
- How to Kill
- Use Maxforce Granular Bait
- Track down and bait every trail you can find
- Sprinkle bait around nesting sites if you can find them - but not directly onto the nest
- If unable to find many trails a broadcast treatment of bait around the outside perimeter of your building will achieve good results (albeit at an elevated bait-cost)
