Identification
  • Black Field Ants are often confused with Carpenter Ants - The primary difference in appearance is the Field Ant's thorax (back) is quite uneven where as a Carpenter Ant's thorax (back) is nicely rounded
How to Kill
  • Use Maxforce Granular Bait
  • Track down and bait every trail you can find
  • Sprinkle bait around nesting sites - but not directly onto the nest
  • A broadcast bait treatment can also help if you have large lawn/field containing many mounds, but only broadcast in conjunction with baiting around every nest (you cannot use broadcast baiting instead of taking the time to address each mound)
