If you've been bitten by the ants in your yard, chances are it's one of the types show above.
Most biting ants love eating ant baits that contain Hydramethylnon (such as our Maxforce Ant Bait Granules).
The ants that leave the nest (just a small percentage of the colony), find the bait and either eat it themselves or return it to the nest as food.
Any ant that eats Hydramethylnon will die, slowly.
But not before they've regurgitated some of the bait to other works, larvae and the Queen.
The ideal way to check what type of ant you have is to click the ant images you suspect resembles yours, read details about it and see if you have a match.
